Muyiwa Akinwolere is a Nigerian artist born in 1976. He schooled in Obafemi Awolowo university where he got his Bachelor in Fine Arts. On display above is one of the most important collictable works by Muyiwa Akinwolere – Battle Cry (2014) a vast exceptional canvas painting executed in Mixed Media measuring an immense 217 cm wide x 107 cm High, a mural styled art work is a tribute to one of the most famous works of Art in the world, Guernica (1937) by Pablo Picasso. Muyiwa’s works explore the nature of human behaviour; topics like hypocrisy, politics, love, joy, pain, selfishness, selflessness, religion, culture etc are expressed in and through his characters and figurative. Muyiwa expresses himself excellently in various mediums which include, antique ink – a signature medium which combined with his unique style stand him out of the crowd and puts him easily amongst the list of artists to watch out for. Other mediums in which he effortlessly expresses himself include oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media (including recycled random materials)

ADIITU is a four-dimensional art that is informed by Yoruba mythology, fantasy and the working of the supernatural. Muyiwa Akinwolere has participated in so many groups and solo exhibitions in and around Africa.
