Sidney Osioh was born on 11 January 1990 in Sapele of Delta State, Nigeria. He received his professional education at both Ogwashi-uku Polytechnic Delta State where he holds a National Diploma (N.D) in Painting and general arts and the prestigious Colourist School. Auchi Polytechnic Auchi, Edo State where he graduated with a Higher National Diploma (H.N.D) 2011 and 2015 respectively.
Sidney currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria where he works as a full time Studio Artist and is married to Ifeyiwa Faith. Sidney received a certificate of participancy from both the society of Nigerian Artist (S.N.A) and the annual life in my city art festival ( LIMCAF) 2012 and 2015. He retired immediately to full-time studio practice after a year service to his nation as a member of the National Youth Service Corp (N.Y.S.C) at Zamfara State Nigeria, after his service to the nation he relocated to Lagos where he acquired the skill in stained glass painting at Mike Ikobi’s studio in 2016.
In the later end of September, 2016 Sidney experimented on a style he later developed into what he calls “SKINDO” Skindo is a style in painting or drawing, it is the distortion of the first layer of the skin by introducing almost repeated pattern with lines and chiaroscuro.
Skindo aims at lightening and enlightening the inner mood and feelings of its viewers.
