Geoffrey Mukasa (1954-2009) is one of Uganda’s most renowned artists. Having spent part of his childhood in the King’s palace in Buganda, he studied Fine Art in Lucknow India and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 1984. He had to wait for his opportunity to work as a professional artist in Uganda because the country was unstable during the 1980s. He has had his works exhibited around the world and has been sold at auction at Bonhams and Sotheby’s.
